A valid rabies vaccination is required. The dog must be at least 12 weeks old at vaccination. At least 21 days must pass after the primary vaccination course before the dog may enter the EU. No waiting period required after a booster if vaccinations have been kept current without a break.

Veterinary Health Certificate (Annex IV)
A veterinary health certificate in EU Annex IV format must be issued by an official government-authorised veterinarian in the country of origin. The certificate must confirm microchip number, owner details, vaccination history (product, batch number, date, expiry), and confirm the animal is fit for transport. Valid for 10 days from issue for entry into the EU.

Microchip

ISO Microchip
The dog must be implanted with an ISO 11784/11785 compliant microchip before the rabies vaccination is administered. If vaccination was done before microchipping, the vaccination course must be restarted after chipping.
