Vaccinations

Core Vaccinations (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus)
Valid core vaccinations against canine distemper virus, adenovirus type 1, and parvovirus type 2 (DHPPi or equivalent) are required.
Rabies Vaccination (Pre-Export)
The dog must have a valid rabies vaccination using an inactivated or recombinant vaccine acceptable to AVS/NParks. This must be given before the blood sample for the serology test is drawn.
Rabies Vaccination on Arrival (Administered by AVS)
Upon arrival in Singapore, a rabies vaccination will be administered to the dog by AVS staff during the mandatory AQC quarantine. This is a Schedule III requirement in addition to the pre-export rabies vaccination.

Singapore Dog Licence
Before applying for an import licence, the owner must obtain a Singapore dog licence from AVS.
Singapore Import Licence
An import licence issued by AVS (NParks) is required before the dog arrives. Fee: S$50 for normal processing (two working days) or S$100 for express processing (one working day). Valid for 90 days from issue.

A veterinary health certificate issued 2 to 7 days before export, certifying the dog meets all Singapore import conditions, is healthy, free from clinical signs of contagious disease, and fit for travel. Must be issued by an official government veterinarian.

A GST import permit from Singapore Customs is required in addition to the AVS import licence.

Tests

Rabies Serology Test
The dog must undergo a rabies serology test at a WOAH reference laboratory or AVS-approved laboratory. The blood sample must be taken at least 28 days after the valid rabies vaccination and at least 90 days (but no more than 12 months / 365 days) before the export date. The test must demonstrate a satisfactory antibody level (specific IU/mL threshold not published on the AVS page — confirm with AVS directly). The serology certificate must be included in the health documentation.

Microchip

ISO Microchip
The dog must be fitted with an ISO 11784 or ISO 11785 Annex A compliant microchip before import.

Quarantine

Mandatory 30-Day Quarantine at Animal Quarantine Centre (AQC)
Dogs from Schedule III countries must undergo a mandatory minimum 30-day post-arrival quarantine at Singapore's Animal Quarantine Centre (AQC). This quarantine is non-negotiable and cannot be served at home. The importer is responsible for all quarantine costs. During quarantine, the dog will also receive a rabies vaccination administered by AVS.
