Flying with a Dog from New Zealand to Argentina — Requirements

Valid rabies vaccination required. For dogs receiving their first rabies vaccine, the vaccination must be given at least 21 days before entry into Argentina. No waiting period is required for booster vaccinations administered without a break in cover. Vaccine must be documented in the CVI.

A CVI issued, signed, and sealed by the official veterinary authority of the country of origin. The certificate must be in Spanish or accompanied by a certified Spanish translation. It must state: owner details; animal identification (species, breed, sex, age, coat colour, identifying marks); rabies vaccination details (vaccine name, batch number, date, expiry); antiparasitic treatment details; and a clinical health declaration. Valid for 60 calendar days from issuance as long as the rabies vaccination remains current on entry.

A veterinarian must certify the dog is clinically healthy, free of external and internal parasites, and fit for transport. The examination must be performed within 10 days before the CVI issuance date.

Internal and external antiparasitic treatment within 15 days before the CVI issuance date, using veterinary-approved products. Product names and active ingredients must be recorded in the CVI.
