Flying with a Dog from Singapore to Mexico — Requirements

Valid rabies vaccination is required. The vaccine must be documented on the health certificate including vaccine name, batch number, date administered, and expiry date. The vaccination must be current on the date of entry into Mexico.

A health certificate (Certificado de Buena Salud) issued by an official government veterinarian or a licensed veterinarian endorsed by the official veterinary authority of the country of origin. The certificate must be issued no more than 15 calendar days before the dog's entry into Mexico. It must state: species, breed, sex, age, coat colour; that the dog is clinically healthy; vaccination history (including rabies); and antiparasitic treatment details. Note: the certificate need not be apostilled or authenticated for most personal-pet entries, but the original signed copy must be presented on arrival.

The dog must have received internal and external antiparasitic (deworming) treatment within 6 months before entry into Mexico. The product name and date of treatment must be recorded on the health certificate.

On arrival, a SENASICA or OISA (Oficina de Inspección de Sanidad Agropecuaria) officer will conduct a physical inspection of your dog and verify your documents. If ectoparasites are found, treatment will be applied at the owner's expense. If Campaign-species ticks are suspected, the animal may be held pending lab results.
