A blood test confirming your dog's protection against rabies. Result must pass the threshold (≥ 0.5 IU/ml per WOAH standards). Valid for 12 months from blood collection date.
Your dog must be microchipped before any other procedures. The microchip must be scannable and linked to the import permit, health certificate, and laboratory reports.
All dogs from Group 3 countries must undergo post-entry quarantine at the government facility in Mickleham, Victoria. Duration is a minimum of 10 days (if identity check was completed) or 30 days (if not). Fees apply.
Identity check (reduces quarantine from 30 to 10 days)
An identity check by an official government veterinarian is strongly recommended. It must be completed before the RNAT blood sample is taken. Without it, quarantine is a minimum of 30 days instead of 10 days.
